Menu

While the range of Indian Street food is huge we have so far focused on the following items. However if you have a particular favourite we can incorporate your request for any event.

Bhel Puri

Street food from North and West India. Made using sev of various sizes and textures, tomato, potato, green and tamarind chutney, fresh coriander and red onions. Pomegranate garnish provides a twist on the traditional recipe while intensifying the colours.

A firm favourite at our Brick Lane stall.

Pani Puri

Pani Puri is known by many names (phuchka,  gup chup, golgappa) throughout India but remain a firm favourite and the most popular of street foods. It is a round, hollow puri filled with a mixture potato, chickpeas and chaat masala and chutneys. The whole thing is then filled with a spiced water and eaten in one go, bursting in your mouth.

It’s an explosion flavours – the spicy water, the salty potatoes, the crispy puri & the sweet-tangy sweet sauce.

Dosa

Dosa is a South Indian savoury crape usually made out of rice flour. However there are many other varieties of Dosa and at HOP we swap and change between three varieties to have a ‘Dosa of the Day’. These are: rice, moong dhal (lentil) and rava (samolinia).

The Dosa are served as plain, with potato or with paneer fillings and chutneys.

Aloo Tikki

Aloo Tikki is most well known in Delhi and is made up of two potato patties layered with chenna (chickpea curry) and topped with plenty of tamarind and date and yoghurt chutenys.

Samosa Chaat

For our version of Samosa Chaat we use a crispy Panjabi samosa and top it with chenna, chutneys and garnish.

Sev Usal
Chunky Pea and Potato Stew served topped with sev (crispy chickpea noodles), chopped onion, green and tamarind chutney and coriander.

Great for winter months.

Lentil Soup

A lightly spiced soup made with red lentils. Perfect for the winter.

Chai

Made with fragrant spices (cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and ginger) this is the ultimate winter warmer and a pick me up for any morning.

This is a staple all over India with some regions using more milk while others add different flavours. Our version is made using a combination of methods.
